Lumileds – Achieve Uniform Dimming And Reduce Cost And Complexity With The LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming

Lumileds has released the LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming, its latest LED designed specifically for deep dimming applications. The new 2835 LED offers the industry's most consistent dimming performance, down to 1% dimming. With a Vf range of just 0.05 divided into two 0.025 Vf bins, customers no longer need to engage in complex binning, costly driver compatibility design, or tedious testing.

The new LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming LED is designed to achieve LED-to-LED light output uniformity across the entire dimming curve – down to 1% – which is essential for consistent visual performance. From full intensity at 0.65mA (38.6lm @ 65mA) down to 1% intensity, each LED will deliver identical luminous flux performance in the application. Lumileds' advancement allows for a forward voltage variation of only 0.05V, simplifying driver design and compatibility. End users benefit from Lumileds' innovation because a uniform 1% light level can be achieved without unwanted light flicker.

The LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming is available in CCTs of 2700K – 6500K, CRIs of 70, 80, and 90, and efficacy ranging from 178lm/W to 231lm/W.
